Life is a TV Series

Exactly what i said in the title is something that i have come to believe in very strongly, life is a TV series and everyone has episodes, assuming that i'm the main protagonist of my life (this fact could still be argued), i have seen many seasons:

  • Modern School Arc
  • Drop Year Arc
  • JUIT arc
  • Post JUIT arc
  • MHROD arc
And these arcs were made of episodes, amazing, stupid, gracious, embarrassing, triumphant, destructive and many many more. What I will say here is end of a couple of episodes from the MHROD arc, and these were, lets say, season defining for me.
Episode: Kava goes Dutch
Circa March 2012, The first monumental episode came to an end, a recurrent theme in my life, a constant source of fun, Kava left for the netherlands and with him left my Noida destination, where i have spent the best part of my 3 years post JUIT. As i drove away from IGI that night, at 2:15, all i could think was damn, ab noida kaise jaoonga, and its true, haven't been to noida since.

Episode: Robin bids a new farewell
Circa April: As a balmy day gave way to the evening at the Jama Masjid, on a full stomach and a mouthful of Mushtaq's paan, Robin Chatterjee bade me farewell, another time and said that the next time we meet, it will be a new house, a new place and a new world...Today i leave for the new farewell.

Episode: Masuada's Last Stand
May 5-6, The Masauda was back for one last stand, one last time, to eat, drink and be merry...we laughed, we danced and we bade farewell's all through the night. Then at 2:38 am, was one last pilgrimage to the place which brought all of us together, and then at the crossroads 5 left the 13, the next crossroads,3 left the 8 and then there were 5...
*The monologue was amazing: "jab main sibaah joote pehan ke ghar se nikla to jeb mein paise nahi the, chalte chalte hostel jab pahuncha, to poore raaste ye feeling aa rahi thi ki break up ho gya hai, ya pitaaji ne ghar se nikaal diyaa hai....2 saal aise hi beet gaye"

Season Finale: Riders on the Storm
Rampyaari, was out for one last ride...one last time this season, friends were met, new, old and ancient..thoda sa dhokka bhi milla...but then chalta hai...dil pe jitna lagna chahiye tha..utni lagi nahi..
as i dropped Rob aka Anaconda of JiShaabG, it was the end...
This is the end, my friend.

New Season: Bangalore comes a Bangin'

Another haze of smoke clears from my face as i drag another lungful from the hokaah in front of me, i taste something delicious and look around to pass it to someone else, and all i see is strangers from a strange land, suddenly i realize i'm not in kansas anymore. In a post i had asked what is the difference between the king and the horse, if they had the same amount of power, skill, and intelligence, the answer was very simple, the instinct to rule, the instinct to crush all opposition with extreme prejudice and to prove without doubt that the king is the one who rules, unquestioned and unchallenged.
