Prey for Instinct

And Deepankar said "Love (Non-platonic, that's you) is instinct. It can be only be countered by another equally strong instinct. Find yourself something for which you have a passion. Something primal, for which the you don't have to use higher brain functions. I'm good at trekking because I fell in love with it first, not the other way round. Find your _instinct_..."
And the beginnings of wisdom come from the word Instinct.
What is the difference between the king and the horse? and this is not a kids riddle where the answer would be one's a human and the other's an animal, one has two legs and the other has 4 legs. No, Assuming two existences had the exact same form, ability and even power. When one of the two becomes the "king" and rules over the battle the remaining one becomes the "horse" and amplifies the king's power. I'm asking you what's the difference between the two.
There's only one answer, It's the instinct, the instinct to seek battle, power, to crush your enemies without mercy. Whereas you try to defeat others with reason and fight battles with logic.
This is the instinct of the soul to gravitate towards the most primal of desires safety, lust, hunger. Let's just say that today the hunter/gatherer attitude of humans has been put on the backburner and anyone with that attitude is looked down upon by the society as an eccentric or a bum. But being instinctual is a freedom beyond any that one can feel. To go to your most primal tendencies, which in deepu's case is wandering with a goal, or in my case is writing, he is very true in saying that a person is good at something because he loves it and not the other way around. The instinct to write and do something that requires moving and action is my most primal tendency, this explains my inability to stay put in lectures.
But sadly this sort of primeval tendency has been put to rest with higher order brain functions taking a precedence over ones inclinations. Intangibles have taken precedence over tangibles, you are much more likely to have submitted an analysis on a project report rather than have fixed your car yourself.
This lack of actual stuff to do is the most disconcerting of all for a human, even though we accept that this as the norm today but inside we are just aching to break away and surrender ourselves to the rush of feelings.
What did the neanderthal doctor say to his modern interns?
Me-good doctor, you-bad doctor, me fix boo boo, you watch.

I believe now that finding and following your instincts is the only route to true happiness:
"Ever heard of the depressed caveman, Of course not"-my case in point.

  1. morning mantra by the cave man...wow dude this ones good.
its true that one loves his own instinct...very true.but fact is this love is not the one who you can relate to...or who opens up things for you.this my friend is not surrendering to the rush of feelings. point is to find someone who loves yout instinct as much as you do...thats when u be happy...and thats the reason our neanderthal cavy was always happy...
so whenever he tried to fix the boo boo with a sledge hammer the significant other one said...you best doctor-rest poo poo...despite of the fact while fixing the boo boo...he actually crushed it.
